Impress Beadliner: Riser Installation
Before installing the riser blocks, mark the end of the base which is on the side that has a number cast into one leg of the Impress body, so you can be sure which way it goes back on after removal.
Install risers by removing the two screws in the base that attach it to the body. Using the appropriate longer screws that are supplied in the kit, reassemble the tool with the risers between the legs and the base.
The Riser Kit extends the height of the Impress so you can core longer beads. The riser blocks mount between the Impress legs and the base to increase height. The Impress will core beads about 5/8 inch (about 16 mm) length from hole to hole. One Riser Kit extends this range up to 1 inch (25 mm) to over 40 mm. Each set includes two 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) and two 3/4 inch (19 mm) blocks with offset holes that match the mounting hole locations in the legs of the Impress, and all screws needed for any configuration. You can add another riser set, for even longer capacity.
The screws are #10 – 32 standard machine screws and are commonly available, if you should lose one.
